It was another fun Halloween this year! We had a Serious Sorcerer, a Grumpy Bumblebee, a fierce Ninja & a Blushing Bride. After going with some of our friends and neighbors to a local Halloween event, we invited them back to our house. While all the kids watched a movie and ate popcorn and cupcakes, we enjoyed talking to and becoming better friends with the parents. It was a great night and one of the reasons we like Halloween.
As Jeff Vanderstelt puts it so well in his article , “Tomorrow (Halloween) offers a great opportunity for many to engage in new relationships with those around us or to revisit some old relationships with new missional intentionality. Regardless of what you think of the holiday and it’s roots, the culture we have been sent by Jesus to reach is going to celebrate Halloween this Wednesday. We all have in front of us a wide open door for missionary engagement in our neighborhoods. I want to encourage you not to miss out on the opportunity.
