Our girls had the privilege of being “elfs” yesterday for the 2nd annual “Toys in Trujillo”. Emilio Salaverry started this toy drive last year and it was a blessing once again. This year he focused on the area around our Parque Industrial church plant. What a neat testimony of Christian community in this growing church plant“The congregation of Parque Industrial’s “Cristo Rendentor” didn’t want this toy drive to be for them, so with a Christ like decision they invited their neighbors and a center of education (pretty much a free elementary school where really needy children attend) to receive the toys instead! What a great example of Christian fellowship!” But we snuck out a couple of toys and visited two families from the church bearing gifts. Thank you Lord for making this possible. Yesterday I only had 29 toys, but by the grace of God we raised around 60 toys!!!” -Emilio
After handing out the toys in the church, we made some house visits giving paneton (the traditional Christmas cake here), gifts and words of encouragement to several families that have been faithfully attending the church plant. It was a huge blessing to our girls getting to help. Thanks Emilio!
